Hello, Matador Students and Families-

 

There is a lot of information with regard to how Athletics will move forward this year. The first and most important item to note is that any decision is based on an order of command: the State of California, County (Sacramento), School District (SJUSD), CIF, League of competition.

Note: We are currently in the purple tier and do not have clearance to begin competitions. We can start phase one outdoor conditioning by following all the current CDPH guidelines for youth sports. 

 

Our league has decided to focus on league play only, in the hopes of bringing sports to as many student-athletes as possible. We have agreed on a two-season format for the remainder of this year. Again this all depends on what color tier we are in and the chain of command. Coaches will let you know what the tentative schedules are by mid-February.
 

There are two things you can do to prepare for the possible seasons …

1) Reach out to the coach, they would love to hear who is interested in joining a Mira Loma team. 

 

2)Register through SPORTSNET. All first-time athletes and freshmen will need to include an up to date physical on the San Juan form.
